Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement

The University of Calgary intends to purchase the Singer Instruments Inc. Rotor+ and other Singer consumables to enhance high-throughput screening capabilities. The Rotor+ is compatible with the Stinger unit, an interchangeable colony picker tool already owned by the lab, which supports efficient and precise colony picking. It is a mandatory requirement that the robotic solutions and consumables are compatible with the existing Stinger colony picker. To the lab’s knowledge, no other distributor of Singer products or a supplier that can provide an arraying robot that is compatible with the stinger unit and the existing consumables in hand.
