25th Street Storm Sewer Replacement Project

The bid set consists of storm sewer replacement along 25 ^th Street north of Lincoln Road within the Duck Creek watershed. The proposed improvements between Lincoln Road and Veterans Memorial Park consist of storm sewer, storm manholes, a sanitary manhole, tree & brush removal, earthwork, reshaping the embankment at the downstream outlet, concrete repair, rip rap, topsoil, and sodding.

The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall commence work no later than the date to begin work set forth in a Notice to Proceed from the City or its authorized representative, to the Contractor. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer of the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department of Bettendorf, Iowa.

All work on this contract shall commence on or after September 21, 2026, as weather permits. All work on this contract shall be completed by November 28, 2026. The beginning and completion dates will be included in and made part of the contract between the successful bidder and the City. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars and no/100 ($500.00) per calendar day shall be charged for every day past the completion date.
