Description

The town of Stony Plain in an urban municipality located west of Edmonton with a population of nearly 18,000 residents, comprised of young families, working professionals, artists, entrepreneurs and retirees. In addition to the town’s residential population, over 900 businesses provide services to the community, as well as to customers in the region and beyond.

The Town of Stony Plain is seeking proposals for a new or unused 9 passenger, side-entry mobility vehicle that can accommodate a minimum of 2 Wheelchair locations to help carry out Accessible Transportation Services (ATS) offered by the Town.

Serving the Tri-Municipal region, including Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and specific areas of Parkland County, ATS provides door-to-door transportation for any resident, 16 years of age or over, who is unable to utilize the existing fully accessible conventional public transit services due to physical or cognitive disabilities. ATS bookings include:
• Medical appointments
• Shopping trips
• Accessing entertainment
