Companies are advised that Project Manager Expeditionary Energy & Sustainment Systems (PM E2S2) is supported by Government support contractors who will review information submitted in response to this RFI for the purpose of providing technical advice to the Government. Companies which submit Submission Forms in response to this RFI will be deemed to have waived any objection to the Government's use of support contractors to review their Submission Forms. The Government support contractors work under a contractual nondisclosure agreement which requires them to safeguard controlled technical information. The contractor may not use, reproduce, modify or release controlled technical information without consent of the owner.
Introduction
Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Belvoir is releasing this Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of the Project Manager (PM) Expeditionary Energy and Sustainment Systems (E2S2) and Product Manager Mobile Electric Power Systems (PM MEPS). The Government is not obligated to release a future solicitation. The information provided by industry will be used for market research to assess available technologies for a materiel solution with the capability to support the Platoon Power Generation (PPG) program. Responses shall not include classified or proprietary information. Material marked as, “Proprietary”, “Confidential”, or other markings limiting distribution will not be reviewed. In addition to the identified North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code listed, this Request for Information applies to the following NAICS codes.

Scope
The increase of digital platforms and autonomous systems at the Platoon and Soldier levels continue to drive up power demands, increasing the total number of batteries required to support operational and tactical missions on the battlefield. To allow these formations to remain maneuverable and lethal on the battlefield, the Army requires a stand-alone power source to generate, recharge, detach, and swap power sources to maintain operational requirements up to 72 hours (3 days), reducing the number of batteries required to support the mission.
The materiel solution is envisioned to be a lightweight Soldier-portable power source, no more than 50 pounds (
1. Respondents are requested to provide an overview of the available technology and how it works to provide power generation capabilities.
2. Respondents must identify the technology readiness level (TRL) of the technology and explain the reasoning behind their assessment.

Responses shall be limited to 5 pages in length single sided, 12-point font, Times New Roman, one-inch margins.
All communications shall be submitted in writing to jessica.l.wright106.civ@army.mil and kadi-jah.l.sheridan.civ@army.mil only. Contractors shall not contact any Government personnel regarding this RFI other than the individual designated above. Contacting any Government personnel other than the individual designated above may result in an organizational conflict of interest (OCI) and may result in a contractor being excluded from a solicitation, competition and consideration for award.
