Description
The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine invites proposals for consulting services to develop an Official Community Plan and a Zoning Bylaw for Electoral Area C (Greater Terrace).
Scope of the project includes review of legacy documents, assessment of existing regulations, consultation with community stakeholders and First Nations within Electoral Area C, accommodation of new and existing provincial legislative requirements, and preparation an Official Community Plan (OCP) inclusive of a 5–20-year vision for the area. The scope also includes implementation of the OCP via a consolidated Zoning Bylaw for Greater Terrace and its communities.
This proposed OCP will replace the existing Greater Terrace Official Settlement Plan from 1980s. The proposed zoning bylaw will replace the existing Greater Terrace Zoning Bylaw, Lakelse Lake Zoning Bylaw, and parts of the Skeena Valley Zoning Bylaw.
