Description
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) oversees the operation of three disposal facilities where scrap metal is collected:Campbell Mountain Landfill Oliver Landfill Keremeos Transfer Station
The RDOS is seeking quotations from qualified Respondents to process, transport and market collected Scrap metal from the facilities above. Please provide a price per metric tonne that the Regional District will receive after all contractor cost and services have been rendered. The Regional District intends to enter into a short-term agreement with the successful Respondent for one (1) calendar year, by way of issuing a Purchase order to the Respondent/Contractor.
Before the contractor collects the scrap metal, at each cycle, the contractor will provide the Regional District with an updated price, per metric tonne, in writing, that the RDOS will receive after all contractor costs and services. Should the price of scrap metal fall below the cost of recovery, the Contractor shall provide a written cost per metric tonne to be charged to the RDOS, for services rendered, using the Purchase Order issued to the contractor.
