The County of Carroll, Virginia, is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide professional services to support floodplain management initiatives funded through the Virginia Community Flood Preparedness Fund (CFPF). These services include updating the County's Floodplain Ordinance and supporting the certification of a County staff member as a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).This project aims to enhance regulatory compliance, improve flood resilience, and protect the health, safety, and welfare of Carroll County residents. The selected firm will assist the County in aligning its policies with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA}, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (OCR).
