Bidders are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract

documents.

The following is issued to modify, and/or clarify the proposal and contract documents. These items shall have the same

force and effect as the original bid and contract documents, and bids to be submitted on the specified date shall conform

with the additions, deletions and revisions as listed herein.

ITEM # 1 QUESTIONS/ANSWERS

Q1: It is noted that the requirement for 56' steel panels with a moment of inertia of 363 and a section modulus

of 134.8–172.8. These specifications appear excessive for this specific project and area. Our panel supplier and

his engineering team recommend using the 100.5 panels instead. Would this be an acceptable alternative for

this project?

A1: To state that an engineer recommended a 100.5 panel is not adequate information for consideration. There are

standard practices for the evaluation of cantilever sheet pile walls that require analysis and calculations.

Q2: Follow-up to Q7 on Addendum 3 (262116c) and Q2 on Addendum 5 (262116e) - Have you received a

response from Florida DOHR regarding a list of qualified archeologists?

A2: We have not received an answer. It is the contractor’s responsibility to acquire the services of a qualified

archaeologist. As an alternative to the Florida DOHR, according to the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA),

anyone who meets the qualifications for RPA would be SOI qualified. A directory can be found at

https://rpanet.org/registrant-directory. A representative of the RPA also provided a list of some Cultural Resource

Management Firms that work in the State or Region which is posted below. This is just a sampling of the available

resources, but as a reminder, it is ultimately the contractor’s responsibility to research and acquire the services of a

qualified archaeologist.

Q3: Follow-up to the answer to Q20 on Addendum 5 (262116e) - Can you please clarify the criteria used to

establish the "availability issues" for domestic sheet pile?

A3: This is a general department determination and is simply to allow for additional options. Although we are using FDOT

specifications as a guideline, this project is not an FDOT funded project.

ITEM # 2 BID OPENING DATE CHANGE: The date has been changed to March 18, 2026.

This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260211.

Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
