Description: The work of this single bid project includes the construction of a new four-story (three stories plus fourth floor mechanical penthouse) academic building for the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (SEAS) on the Furnas Lot. This building will be approximately 82,775 GSF and will serve as a home and hub for SEAS. It will house departmental offices, and shared spaces for instruction, research, innovation workshop & fabrication spaces, student support, student clubs, events and community engagement. Site utilities and restoration is included. A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) has been adopted for this project. This agreement openly promotes bidding from all contractors – union and non-union. The low bidder must execute and abide by the terms of the project-specific Project Labor Agreement. This Project Labor Agreement also impacts acceptable staffing patterns for the project. The PLA should be read in its entirety by all potential bidders prior to submitting a Proposal.
Plans will be available after June 25, 2025, through Camelot Print & Copy Centers (518-435-9696 & www.camelotplanroom.com ).
A project walk-through has been scheduled for July 8, 2025, at 2:00pm meeting at the Beane Service Center Conference Room 116.

All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs. Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 3/22 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule.
