Description: Farmingdale State College (SUNY) intends to make an award under our discretionary authority pursuant to NYS Education Law Section 355(5)(a) which is up to $125,000, for the above noted commodity. A sealed bid will not be held. Any vendor who believes they can provide this product should email the designated contact listed in this advertisement by 11 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024. Farmingdale State College is looking to purchasing 2,500,00 Slate Credits.
What is the purpose of the credits?
What do they do?
They will make communication with admitted and deposited students very customizable, especially with printed mail. The most basic level of customization is including student’s name on the piece (other than the mailing label). More complex examples include the use of additional merge fields and conditional logic that adjusts the content on the mailing to account for things unique to the student like their major or where they live without requiring different projects. It will similarly adjust the images in the future. The information sent to students is most up-to-date using live queries in Slate, which avoid confusion and phone calls/emails from students and their families. It will never be generic unless we specifically choose to do that. Some vendors allow for some personalization on printed materials as a one-time list and any students who meet the criteria after that initial list will get a generic piece. Examples of printed communications postcards, letters, mailers (bifold and trifold), envelopes, posters, stickers, and more are included in this. Admissions staff will always view samples, including logic, in real time and for however many students we see fit. This will make it so everyone on the staff knows what the student received and can easily refer to it if a student calls or emails with questions. The credits allow us to actually view what was sent to the student on their respective and unique record. Can be ongoing without human intervention as part of a drip marketing campaign spanning several months or can be controlled by us more granularly.
