Justification for single source acquisition (what is necessary and unique about the product,

service or source; steps taken to confirm unavailability of competition, as appropriate):

The Coalition has determined that 211 Broward is a sole sourced vendor based on the following:

• 211 Broward is the sole FCC-designated 211 resource for community services in Broward

County

• 211 Broward holds the exclusive license to operate in Broward County using the three-digit

FCC designated dialing number.

• 211 Broward is the only 24/7 comprehensive agency that provides support services for

individuals seeking crisis intervention assistance and/or information and referral services.

Prospective vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the

intended decision to enter a single-source purchase contract in the manner specified in Rule 60A-

1.045, Florida Administrative Code, and section 120.57(3), F.S.
