Description:

The work under this contract consists of the demolition of the Well 24 building and the lower termination of one well head casing located in the City of La Crosse. The work shall be in compliance with the Wisconsin DNR’s requirements for well abandonment and sealing (NR 812.26). The work shall follow all be executed under the requirements of the City’s standard details, The City Standard Specifications and these Special Specifications. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work as indicated on the plans and in these Special Specifications. This contract shall consist of the salvage of any valuable property; the demolition, removal, and disposal of the structure, subsurface structures, and contents; concrete flatwork; the backfilling to adjacent grade; and the restoration of topsoil and grass. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining and paying for the demolition permit, prior to any demolition activity. As part of obtaining said demolition permit, the Contractor is also responsible for cutting and capping water and sewer services to the building, including obtaining and paying for a plumbing permit if applicable. 1000 Fishermens Rd: The demolition site is occupied by a 1 story municipal building. The concrete block footprint is approximately 560 square feet with a concrete foundation. The municipal building was originally constructed in 1980. The structure is in a general good state. The structure has a capped well that will need to be re-terminated in accordance with DNR code (NR 812.26). There is 1,900 square feet of an asphalt drive to be demolished as part of the project.
