Description: The Work of this project provides for the furnishing of all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment and plant, and the performing of all Work in accordance with these specifications and drawings, with exception of work that is expressly and specifically not included in the project. The project consists of one (1) contract: BNIA – Parking Structure Repairs The Base Bid Work shall include as indicated on drawings, but not be limited to: Spall repair and crack injection of prestress slabs and beams at locations indicated on the drawings or as directed by the Owner/Architect. Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead Spall Repair and Epoxy Crack Injection of precast and cast-in-place concrete columns, stairs, walls and beams including reconditioning and/or replacement of corroded reinforcing. Repair of Elastomeric Traffic Coating as required due to concrete repairs and as indicated on the drawings. Replacement/Repairs of Drain Guards as indicated on drawings. Repair and extension of Corbels along with the restoration of the bearing pads as indicated on drawings. Replacement of Masonry Blocks as indicated on drawings. The Contract Documents may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203 or on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website at www.nftaengineering.com. Online registration is required to become a Plan Holder and obtain Contract Documents. A copy of the Contract Documents is available at no cost and may be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716- 855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering/Contracting website. The Contract Documents may be picked up or sent via courier billed to the requester. Bids will be accepted either offline (paper) or online (electronic). Offline bids should be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope to the Engineering Branch on the 1st floor of the MTC. The lower left hand corner should be marked as follows: BID NO. E-620. Online bids should be submitted in accordance with the process outlined on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 40% of the work with its own forces.
