Land Boring at Various Locations for a Period of Three Years for the New York City Transit System in the Five Boroughs of New York City

Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: This Contract is for on-demand boring projects within the five boroughs of New York City. The scope of work includes, performing of land borings for the New York City Transit System in the five Boroughs of New York City. The purpose is to obtain reliable information about underground strata to enable a thorough investigation of the underlying materials in preparation for the design and construction of various structures within the five boroughs of the City of New York. The Work will consist of sinking steel casings, hollow stem augers through the subsurface strata, drilling for cores in rock and concrete, securing dry and undisturbed soil samples, and mud drilling. The Work also involves carrying out test well pumping tests, packer permeability tests of rock mass, soil permeability tests, electronic piezocone penetration tests, gathering information about ground water conditions in drilled holes, supplying and installing strainers for monitoring ground water table, and installing and operating test wells.
