RFB-2719 Steel Shapes
Description:
1. GENERAL: Materials in this section shall meet the applicable requirements of the various NYSDOT Standard Specification sections listed, unless otherwise indicated, and shall be furnished in the sizes or combination of sizes indicated or ordered by the Owner.
2. MATERIALS: This specification describes the minimum material quality requirements for:
a) Structural Steel Plate shall meet the applicable requirements of ASTM A-36 and A-572 Gr-50
b) Structural steel shapes shall meet the applicable requirements of NYSDOT Section 715-01.
1) All steel shapes shall meet applicable ASTM Specifications for the grade indicated.
2) ASTM A36, A572 and A588
c) Reinforcing steel shall meet the applicable requirements of NYSDOT Section 709.
1) NYSDOT 709-01 - ASTM A615, Grade 60 deformed steel bars (black bar)
2) NYSDOT 709-02 - ASTM A185/A497 wire fabric reinforcement
3) NYSDOT 709-04 - ASTM A615, Grade 60 deformed steel bars (epoxy coated bar)
