Description

Halifax Water is inviting proposals to replace the roofs on two separate buildings at the Timberlea WWTF. Each building has two roof levels, for a total of four roof areas. The scope of work and project requirements are described in the appendices of this RFQ. Halifax Water’s Timberlea Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF), located at 77 Riverview Drive, was constructed in 1984. The facility’s original roof is a built-up tar system consisting of multiple layers of felt and tar, overlaid with pea gravel, fibreglass insulation, a vapour barrier, and a structural steel deck. Over the years, the roof has experienced leaks that were repaired, but there are currently two active leak areas
