Utility Line Clearing Services

The City of Palo Alto, as operator of its own electric utility, seeks a contractor to provide utility vegetation management services as part of the City's Line Clearance Program. The Line Clearance Program ensures proper clearances between vegetation and utility infrastructure are maintained, thereby helping the City deliver safe and reliable power to the residents and businesses of Palo Alto.

The City of Palo Alto has contracted services for utility vegetation management since the mid-1980’s to ensure the clearing of trees and other vegetation from electrical conductors, poles, substations, fiber optic lines, traffic signals, and street lights throughout Palo Alto.
