RENTAL CAR CONCESSIONS AT BUFFALO NIAGARA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Description:

Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) serves as a catalyst for economic growth by maintaining cost-effective, customer-oriented, and efficient airports to attract and retain comprehensive and competitive air transportation services. NFTA is seeking proposals for the non- exclusive operation of car rental concessions at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) from qualified parties for the operations set forth in this RFP.

Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) is owned and operated by the NFTA. The Airport offers the traveling public up to 75 arriving flights per day from 28 airports. BNIA handled over 4.6 million passengers in 2023, and is on track to handle over 5.1 million (+10% YOY) passengers for the full 2024 calendar year. Not only is the Airport expected to see a full recovery from its 2019 pre-pandemic passenger level, 2024 is likely to exceed that level by over 3%. Currently, the airport is served by the following carriers: Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, JetBlue Airways, United Airlines, Frontier Airlines and seasonal charter flights to the Caribbean by Vacation Express.

NFTA encourages the submission of proposals by disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs), and in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation, 49.An ACDBE goal of 2% has been established for this procurement. Refer to the ACDBE Requirements Section for more details.
