Description: NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDS NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets 10B Airline Drive Albany, New York 12235 NEW YORK STATE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS SUPPORT FOR THE EASTERN FINGER LAKES COALITION OF COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS Letters of Interest will be accepted through 4:00pm on 02/18/2025 from interested Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD’s) in the Eastern Finger Lakes Region to provide services to the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets to administer a water quality implementation program for agricultural non-point source abatement and control projects and non-agricultural non-point source abatement and control projects in the Finger Lakes Watersheds. Services must result in the implementation of activities that will reduce, abate, control, or prevent soil erosion/nonpoint source pollution originating from agricultural and non-agricultural sources. Eligible applicants are Steuben, Ontario, Yates, Schuyler, Chemung, Seneca, Tompkins, Wayne, Cayuga, Onondaga and Cortland County Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) who will be referred to as the “Project Sponsor” for the Eastern Finger Lakes Region. The NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets is seeking services from one of the eligible County SWCDs to provide administrative and technical services that result in the implementation of Best Management Practice Systems in the Eastern Finger Lakes watersheds. Availability of funding for this program is from the Clean Water Infrastructure Act of 2017 and the NYS Clean Water, Clean Air, Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022, which includes appropriations for this purpose.
