Tobacco Use Prevention/Cessation

The Maryland Cigarette Restitution Fund Program, Local Public Health Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Grant have funding opportunities available to implement tobacco/vape use prevention/cessation activities in Cecil County. The Cecil County Health Department (CCHD) is looking to fund partners and projects to promote community dialogue on tobacco use-related disparities, support a tobacco-free environment, offer tobacco use prevention education, and increase awareness of the risks of Electronic Smoking Devices (ESD), or “vaping. These activities will assist in reducing health disparities among populations at high risk for tobacco use which include, but are not limited to, youth, African Americans, Hispanic/Latinx, and LGBTQ+ communities.
