Project Description: Doylestown Township Municipal Authority (DTMA) will receive sealed bids online for Central Wells 5 & 7 Well House Upgrade Contract No. 2024-01: General/Mechanical Construction and Contract 2024-01E: Electrical Construction. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the PennBid™ Program until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time on November 19, 2024.
The work generally consists of the construction and installation of a granular activated carbon treatment system and greensand filtration system with associated treatment building, backwash holding tank, chlorine contact tank and associated internal and external piping and appurtenances and is located at DTMA Central Well 5 in Doylestown Township. Additionally, the work includes the construction of a transmission water main from Central Well 7 to Central Well 5. All work is to be completed in strict accordance with the Project Manual and Drawings.

Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the DTMA along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder.
The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of the DTMA and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by the DTMA.
This project is subject to applicable provisions of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts and the associated wage determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Solicitation Requirements associated with a Clean Water State Revolving and/or Drinking Water Revolving Fund project, and the non-discrimination requirements as set forth in The Pennsylvania Code.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids.
The Doylestown Township Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids.
