AUDITING SERVICES. The City of Sandstone is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to prepare and audit its financial statement for the fiscal years ending (December 31) 2025, 2026, and 2027.  These audits are to be performed in accordance with the generally accepted auditing standards and the standards for financial audits set forth in the Government Auditing Standards as issued by the Comptroller General of the United States and Minnesota Legal Compliance Audit Guide for Local Government audit requirements. There is no express or implied obligation for the City of Sandstone to reimburse responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request. The City of Sandstone reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and to use any ideas in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. Submission of a proposal indicates acceptance by the firm of the conditions contained in this request for proposals, unless clearly and specifically noted in the proposal submitted and confirmed in the contract between the City of Sandstone and the firm selected. NOTE: The City contracts with Abdo Financial Solutions, LLC as an independent contractor to provide financial management and consulting services. Finance Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on Sept. 12, 2025. Proposals are accepted electronically at administrator@sandstonemn.gov or mailed to City of Sandstone, PO Box 641, Sandstone, MN 55072.
