All work shall be in accordance with the Allen County Surveyor's Office specifications. By signing below you acknowledge that you
have read and understand the 2025 Allen County Technical Specifications for Open Drain Maintenance.
Scope of Work:
Scope of Work: Contractor shall perform Bank Restoration in several locations, see attached maps. All Work shall be in
accordance with the Allen County Surveyor’s Office Drain Maintenance Specifications.
Supplemental Work not Covered in Technical Specs: Bank restoration with geo-fabric and riprap over the fabric
Variation from Technical Specs: Repair banks in several locations along the banks of the Mercer and Belot ditches
Limits of Work: Work shall be within the 75ft drainage easement
Access: Access is from Pion Road along the Mercer Drain utilizing the 75’ regulated drain easement. Contractor shall
verify their equipment can access prior to bidding.

NOTE: Contractor must follow IC 36-9-27, applicable state/local laws, and Allen County Surveryor's Office
Technical Specifications. Contractor shall utilize the regulated drain easement. Any access and damage
outside the easement is the responsibility of the Contractor. All drain work is subject to Allen County
Surveyor's Office approval. 48 hours notification for inspection is required before work can begin.

Location: South of Pion Rd between Coldwater and Auburn Rds

Type of Work:
1. Excavate 6 location along the Mercer and Belot Drains, to place geo fabric and
rip rap to stabilize the banks.
2. Large washouts can use clay to fill area then place rip rap over
3. Rip rap shall be toed into the bank with 2:1 side slopes
4. Fill ruts and regrade and seed all disturbed areas within filter stripe
All work must be performed in accordance with all Federal, State and Local regulations for
safety

Need to provide Allen County Surveyor’s Office with proof of Liability Insurance
Contractors will need to read the Allen County Surveyor’s Office Specifications for and yard
restoration.
Site Access:
Access for will be off Pion Rd at Mercer Drain and off Pion Rd by Power Station. Contractor will
need to call 48 hours before commencing work
Any damage outside of 75-foot drainage easement will be paid by contractor.
