4690 Criswell St and 1475 Prairie Vista Dr Storm Water Improvements Project

This project will repair erosion caused by unprotected storm sewer outfalls as well as install measures to prevent the continuation of said erosion. The proposed improvements consist of installing storm sewer structures, storm sewer pipe, grading, installation of revetment stone, finish grading, seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and other work related to making these improvements.

The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall commence work no later than the date to begin work set forth in a Notice to Proceed from the City or its authorized representative, to the Contractor. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer of the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department of Bettendorf, Iowa.

All work on this contract shall commence on or after November 17, 2025. All work on this contract shall be substantially complete within 60 calendar days of commencing construction or by January 31, 2026, whichever comes first. Substantial completion shall include all items necessary to complete this project except seeding and fertilizing. Seeding and fertilizing must be completed by April 30, 2026. The beginning and completion dates will be included in and made part of the contract between the successful bidder and the City. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars and no/100 ($500.00) per calendar day shall be charged for every day past the substantial completion and completion dates for the work as described above.
