Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a commercial acquisition utilizing FAR parts 12 and 15 procedures. THIS PRE-SOLICIATION NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). This notice is for informational purposes only and the Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. Also, this pre-solicitation notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor shall the Government pay for any information submitted as a result of this posting.



Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Production Manager Combat Service Support Equipment (PdM CSSE) intends to procure, via SOLE SOURCE from GENTEX Corporation (Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 “Only from one responsible source or a limited number of responsible sources”), High Cut Enhanced Combat Helmets (HC ECH), for testing purposes only, and retention and suspension systems. The HC ECH utilizes a high-edge cut ballistic shell with a carbon epoxy-edged trim, advanced retention and suspension systems, and a modified Night Vision Device (NVD) retention bracket to accommodate a retention strap.





The Government plans to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Sole Source contract. The planned period of performance consists of a base year with two (2) one (1) year ordering periods from the date of contract award. The anticipated solicitation release date is January 2026.
