Invitation to Bid
MD OF SMOKY RIVER No 130
TENDER 25-01
The Municipal District of Smoky River No 130 (hereafter referred to as the MD) is interested in obtaining Tenders for the following:
Supply and Delivery of Gas and Diesel Fuel for the 2025 year as per Specifications.
Bids must be in accordance with the MD of Smoky River No 130 specifications and will not be accepted unless submitted on MD of Smoky River No 130 Bid forms.
Total figures quoted must reflect the rack prices, in Canadian Funds, including all items.
The lowest or any Tender/Quotation/Proposal need not be accepted by the MD of Smoky River No 130. The MD will have the right to evaluate competing bids in accordance with its own criteria for evaluation applied to the specific item being tendered, whether or not such criteria has been expressly related to the Tenders. The
MD of Smoky River No 130 reserves the right to award the Tender which it deems to be in the best interests of the municipality.
The following is the approximate quantities required for our upcoming operations. Actual quantities may differ:
• 300,000 litres diesel, dyed
• 160,000 litres diesel, clear
• 70,000 litres unleaded gas, clear
*All prices are to be based on terminal rack prices as specified between September 1st, to November 30th of 2024 on that attached bid sheet. The price differential between rack and bid price will be maintained throughout the year of award. A cardlock system is required and fuel delivery must be available with a 24-hour notice. It is compulsory that the successful bidder be able to e-mail a weekly electronic transaction fuel report compatible with our current fleet software program (RTA Fleet in CSV format as per the attachment) to the Shop Foreman at mdshop@mdsmokyriver.com. The MD requires that the cardlock facility can fuel at least two heavy vehicles with trailers simultaneously or that the supplier makes plans acceptable to the MD to meet this requirement.
The MD of Smoky River No 130 will normally award contracts to the lowest competent Bidder meeting the required specifications. However, the MD retains the right to reject any or all Tenders/ Quotations/Proposals and to take into consideration past performance of bidders on similar contracts, both in and out of the MD of Smoky River No 130 and such other factors the MD considers relevant including timing of services to be provided.
