The U.S. General Services Administration leases space in the 5th & Yesler building for the end user tenant; the U.S. Department of State, Passports Office. The construction drawings are complete and a building permit has been obtained from the local jurisdiction. The Passport office will remain open to the public and functioning throughout the course of the construction. Therefore, the construction drawings have been divided into seven phases. Note: The first phase was previously started in early 2024 and then construction was stopped on 5/29/24. Phase one is partially done. Construction has not progressed since 5/30/24.
