Overview
Summary

The Sanford Airport Authority, hereinafter called "Owner," hereby requests sealed bids for the " WILDLIFE MITIGATION – PHASE 1” (Project), at ORLANDO SANFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

The project is generally to reduce hazardous wildlife attractants from within the Air Operations Area in 3 separate locations.

  • Area 1 – Base Bid
    • Located North of Taxiway B, south of Runway 9L-27R and directly west of Taxiway B7
    • Work will include raising the grade of the area to prevent standing water and install catch basin, end sections and drainage pipe to promote drainage.
  • Area 2 – Base Bid
    • Located south of Taxiway B, north of Taxiway C and directly west of Taxiway B7
    • This area will maintain the currently drainage pattern between two drainage pipes, while creating a better-defined ditch for better drainage. A new pipe will also be installed across Taxiway C.
  • Area 3 – Add Alternate No. 01
    • Located southeast of Taxiway C, just north of Don Knight Lane within the airport’s AOA.
    • Currently trees are in this area, the project will clear and grub this area and re-grade to allow drainage to the north.
  • The time of completion for the project is anticipated to be 100 calendar days for Base Bid only and 135 calendar days for Base Bid and Add Alternate No. 01 to achieve Substantial Completion. Exact time requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.
