The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the County of San Diego, to obtain shared use of a facility, to include support services, for the staff assigned to the US/Mexico Unit (USMU) and San Diego Quarantine Station co-located within the San Diego County Public Health Services (SDCPHS) facility. The National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID)/Division of Global Migration Health (DGMH) requires services during the period of 09/01/2025 – 08/31/2026, with the option to exercise two one-year option periods, potentially ending on 08/31/2028. San Diego County is the only known source that can provide a federally-owned space that allows for continuous in-person collaboration between the CDC staff and the County of San Diego’s Public Health Department. The in-person collaboration is vital to the success of the CDC’s mission. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) and 41 USC 3304(a)(1). The procedures in FAR subpart 13.5 will be used in accordance with 41 U.S.C.1901. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
The following Support Services shall be performed:
1. The contractor shall provide installation and maintenance of phone lines, phone equipment, telephone translation line, and voice messaging for CDC office.
2. The contractor shall provide computer power outlets and computer cables to connect to a dedicated on- site CDC server, router and CDC computer stations and offices.
3. The contractor shall install and provide maintenance and set up support for computers; copier,scanners and network printers, in addition, technical support to CDC staff.
4. The contractor shall provide building services (which includes security and janitorial services).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received prior to the date and time below will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
