NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
SUBJECT: INVITATION TO BID FOR DIVISION 12 PROJECT.

DESCRIPTION: BEAM END ENCASEMENT
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for bridge repair and traffic
control type work in Gaston County. The Contractor is to furnish labor, material, equipment and
traffic control:
CONTRACT TIME:
The availability date for this contract will be September 14, 2026.
The completion date for this contract will be December 18, 2026.

BID OPENING:
Sealed bids must be received in the Division Engineer's Office, located at 1710 E. Marion Street,
Shelby, N.C. 28152, by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Bids must be submitted on
the official bid sheet as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders along with the complete proposal
and display the following statement on the front of the envelope:

Potential Bidders must be prequalified as Bidder or P.O. Prime Contractor at the time of bid
opening in order to be considered responsible. Information about prequalification can be found at

Paper Bids will be accepted as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders contained in the Proposal.
Electronic Bidding will not be accepted. Bid Bonds are required.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of
the Civil Rights of 1964 (78 Stat.252) and the Regulations of the Department of Transportation (49
C.F.R., Part 21), issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively
insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible
