Thissolicitation is intended to provide a mechanism for GISD to procure Internetservices to the multiple schools and service sites in the District . GISD will contract Internet serviceproviders to provide high capacity, high quality, scalable Internet Service forthe district. GISD requests the following services:

1. Gigabit ethernet speed, with options of 2 – 10 Gb.

2. The proposed contract should be three (3) years inlength with optional two (2), one (1) year extensions.

3. The solution should provide service district-wide.

4. Under this solution, the Provider shall submit aproposal for installation and ongoing service for (including, but not limitedto) network equipment, network cabling, equipment racks, outside plantinfrastructure, and associated termination equipment as required to providesaid bandwidth rates. All components provided under this initiative shallpermanent service components remain owned and serviced by the Provider.

5. Provide a Service Level Agreement on the proposedservice.

6. Provide a solution that can monitor and reportonline usage.

7. Service will be utilized at all District campusesand facilities.

8. Services shall be implemented in order toaccommodate both the current and future interconnection requirements. Theimplementation shall be based on industry standard components. The solutionwill scale to meet growth in individual site connectivity needs and theaddition of new sites, or the decommission of sites.

9. The award is contingent upon funding from the FCCE-Rate program (Schools and Libraries Division). GISD may choose to implementpart or all the initiative at its choosing, based on immediate needs. TheProvider shall ensure that all eligible components of service are filed withUSAC (Universal Service Administrative Co).

10. The District reservesthe right to use the Internet service for any District internet traffic at thediscretion of the District.

The responding vendor will provide a response to each Internetaccess service requirement as to service availability and description ofservices to meet the request.
