The purpose of this amendment is to:
Provide questions, answers and reports provided under previous solicitation (36C25926Q0408).
All offers are to be emailed to heather.chase2@va.gov and received no later than 5:00pm MT on June 22, 2026.
Questions and Answers below were provided under previous RFQ 36C25926Q0408:
Q. Is this a new or follow-on requirement? If a follow-on, who is the incumbent and what isÂ
the contract number?
A. This is a new one-year only requirement. This requirement has not previously been awarded and therefore there is no incumbent.
Q. Is the intent of the contract to perform annual testing, identify, and correct deficiencies?
A. No, the intent is to correct the deficiencies that have previously been identified and to document the repairs for the Joint Commission audit.
Q. Who is currently performing the monitoring service for the VA WCHCS?
A. Vulcan Fire.
Q. Who is currently performing the backflow preventor service for VA WCHCS?
A. Citrine, LLC
Q. Can we be provided a copy of the reports? The in-person tags refer to this report.
A. Yes. See attached reports.Â
Q. Does the VA WCHCS have any antifreeze or glycol loops within their fire suppression system?
A. Yes, those are located in Building 6 and Building 36.
Q. Does the parking garage (Building 44) contain sprinkler systems?
A. No, but there are alarm systems.
Q. Building 34 has an open deficiency tag for network issues. Has this been resolved?
A. This deficiency correction is currently in progress.
Q. For the 5-year internal inspections, is it just the internal piping 5-year you are needing?
A. Yes, it is the internal piping to include the removal of a flushing connections and sprinkler near the end of a branch line. Will also require photographic evidence of the state of the pipe to fulfill the 5-year requirement.
Q. For the OS&Y valves, would you know what size the valves are?
A. OS&Y valves on station are 8inch, 3inch, 2.5inch and 6 inch.
Q. Do you know what size the inspectors test valves are?
A. There are currently no sizing listed in the report. It will be the Contractors responsibility to verify prior to beginning work.
Q. Do you know what size the flow switch is in building 22?
A. There is currently no size listed in the report. It will be the Contractors responsibility to verify prior to beginning work.
