INVITATION TO BIDDERS
The City of Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, Texas is requesting Competitive Sealed Proposals(CSP) from qualified firms for furnishing all necessary materials, machinery, tools, equipment, labor and supervision for the Purchase and Installation of Four Emergency Stand-By Generators in Lake Jackson, Texas, within the City Limits of said City, Project No. 25-10-1509.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. (CST) at the Lake Jackson City Hall, 25 Oak Drive, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. All attendees will visit the sites.
Sealed Proposals, addressed to Modesto Mundo, City Manager, City of Lake Jackson, Texas for the above-described work will be received at the City Manager's Office, 25 Oak Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas, until 11:00 AM (CST), Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at which time the names of the Proposers will be read aloud publicly. This project is being procured as a Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2269, Subchapter D. All required qualification and pricing information shall be submitted together in a single-sealed envelope as described in Section 11. Bid prices will not be read aloud at the opening.
Interested firms may obtain information on the scope of the proposed work, the exact location and all general and technical information required to submit a complete and acceptable Proposal for the accomplishment of the project from the City Engineer's Office, 25 Oak Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566. Bids may be held by the City of Jackson for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders’ qualifications prior to the contract award.
All bids shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond or a Certified or Cashier's Check upon a State or National Bank of the State of Texas in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid amount.
The City of Lake Jackson reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous.
All contractors / subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids.
This is a "Public Works" project and provisions of the "Prevailing Wage Law on Public Work in Texas" must be complied with. Prevailing Wages for Brazoria County, Texas is a part of this contract.
