This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) and SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE issued solely for market research and planning purposes. This notice does not constitute a solicitation, nor does it commit the Government to issue a solicitation or make an award. No reimbursement will be provided for any costs associated with responding to this notice.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, is conducting market research to identify qualified and capable sources for Bone Cement Removal Instrument Trays for orthopedic surgical use.

3. Statement of Work (SOW)
Introduction
The Orthopedic Surgery Service requires the purchase of two (2) Universal Bone Cement Removal System Instrument Sets to support revision joint procedures.
Background
These instrument trays must include all tools necessary to safely and efficiently remove bone cement during orthopedic implant removal. Complete and precise removal of cement is essential to prepare bone surfaces for new prosthesis installation.
Objective
These instrument sets will support total joint revision procedures (hip and knee) where bone cement must be removed from implants or surrounding bone. The requested sets aim to:
Reduce surgical site infection risk
Minimize time under anesthesia
Improve ergonomic function for surgeons
Reduce fatigue, stress, and slippage during complex procedures
Task
Provide two (2) complete instrument trays to support uninterrupted surgical operations and ensure safe, continuous patient care.
