IAW FAR5.203(a)(1) the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Edwards AFB intends to issue a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Sole Source direct award, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to SLM Contract Furniture Inc. 5252 Balboa Ave Ste 201; San Diego, CA 92117 under NAICS code 337214 with a size standard of 1,100 employees.
Air Force Test Center has a requirement to finish furnishing the approximately 20,000-square-foot Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) within the Flight Test Engineering Laboratory (FTEL), Building 2710, at Edwards Air Force Base. This is phase II and finalizes the FTEL outfitting, creating a fully functional and aesthetically cohesive workspace supporting critical national security missions.
To maintain design continuity and seamless integration, all modular furniture within the SCIF must be fully compatible with the existing Affordable Interior Systems (AIS) furniture installed in the FTEL's east wing (previously furnished by SLM Contract Furniture, Inc.). Leveraging the Air Force Office Workplace Furniture (OWF) Program contract and an authorized AIS dealer is mandatory to ensure this 100% compatibility and streamline procurement and installation.
SLM is the sole AIS dealer authorized to furnish Edwards AFB. Therefore, no other vendor is contractually permitted to supply or install the required AIS systems within the base.
