(R014-27) Furnish a Granular Activated Carbon

Project Description: NOTICE
Sealed proposals will be received online via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) until 10:00 AM, prevailing time, July 29, 2026. After the bid opening, a public notice will be issued via PennBid containing any available bid results.
Contract R014-27 Purchase of Virgin (or Custom Reactivated) Granular Activated Carbon for Use at the George R. Sweeney Water Treatment Plant, located at 136 G. Sweeney WTP Road, Saltsburg, PA 15681.
Copies of bidding forms, specifications and other contract documents will be on available at no cost on the PennBid website. Bidders shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents via the “Vendor Discussion” tab in Messages on PennBid.
Vendors who are awarded contracts are assessed a variable award fee based on the type of contract. Fixed Fee Contracts award fee in 1/3% of 1% (.0033) of the initial contract award amount. The award fee shall be no less than $150 and no greater than $6,000.
Any bid not submitted under the above conditions will be rejected.
The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid received, to reject any bids, or to accept any bid it deems in its best interest.
