Title: Reconstruct Airport Perimeter Fence Phase 2-PIE
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 7/10/2026
Due Date: 8/6/2026
The St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport intends to enhance the safety and security of the Air Operations Area (AOA) by replacing vulnerable portions of existing fencing and gates with a more robust fencing/gate system to improve the prevention of access by people and wildlife. In various locations, existing fencing and gates will be removed and replaced with 8-foot tall prefabricated, non-scalable fencing topped with razor wire and wildlife deterrent skirt at the base. This fencing will match the existing fencing installed in the Fencing Phase 1 project that was completed in 2025.
The St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport has existing fencing and gates surrounding the AOA that have higher risk for vulnerabilities, including areas of older deteriorating fencing and gates in need of replacement.
