Overview

Summary

The City Manager’s Office (CMO) of the City of Charlottesville is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide administrative and consulting services to assist the City in planning and executing an approximately $100,000.00 Participatory Budgeting (PB) Program. The intended outcome of the Program is to meaningfully educate and involve residents in allocating how to spend a part of the City's budget.

Background

The City intends to select from proposals (Offerors) a consultant (Contractor) to provide designated services for the PB Program. With the CMO’s support and approval, the Contractor will be responsible for the design and execution of the Program with fidelity to the spirit and vision set forth by the City of Charlottesville City Council. The PB Program is being created in the context of the City’s commitment to robust community engagement and co designed solutions, ensuring that residents are genuine partners in shaping the future of their community. This work advances the City’s vision of becoming a place where everyone can thrive, with shared responsibility, shared power, and shared benefit.
