Project Description: The Municipality of Norristown is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive residential solid waste, recycling, and yard waste collection services for approximately 9,600 dwelling units within the Municipality. The goal of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to secure a cost-effective, efficient, and environmentally responsible waste collection program that meets the community’s needs and complies with Norristown’s mandatory recycling ordinance. The contract term is anticipated to begin on April 1, 2026, and continue through December 31, 2030, for a total duration of approximately four years and nine months. The Municipality may, at its sole discretion, extend the agreement for up to two (2) additional one-year periods—covering calendar years 2031 and 2032—under the same terms and conditions.
