Project Description: Two boat trailers meeting the following specifications, supplied, assembled, and
delivered for use with University vessels. Manufacturer and model numbers are used as a
measure of quality, design, and performance. EZ Loader TA102BT 23-27 7900 and EZ Loader
A102BT 16-20 3100, or acceptable alternates meeting the minimum specifications
described below, will be considered for acceptance by the University. Any brand or
manufacturer of equal or better quality to that specified will be considered; the
University may reject any proposed alternate deemed unequal, and such determination
shall be final and binding.
The first trailer shall support vessels approximately 23 to 27 feet in length with a
load capacity of approximately 7,900 pounds and shall utilize an aluminum or galvanized
frame with dual torsion axles, six lug ST225/75R15E tires and wheels, approximately 80
inches between fenders, and a 2 5/16 inch coupler. The trailer shall be configured with
adjustable bunk supports suitable for fiberglass hull vessels.
The second trailer shall support vessels approximately 16 to 20 feet in length with a
load capacity of approximately 3,100 pounds and shall utilize an aluminum or galvanized
frame with a single torsion axle, five lug ST205/75R14D tires and wheels, approximately
83 inches between fenders, and a 2 inch coupler. The trailer shall be configured with
adjustable bunk supports suitable for fiberglass hull vessels.
Vendors must demonstrate a dealer presence within the State of Hawaiʻi capable of
providing parts and warranty support for the proposed trailers.
Special Instructions
Unless otherwise agreed to by the University in writing, all items shall be delivered and
installation completed no later than ninety (90) consecutive calendar days from the purchase
order date.
Vendors must accept University of HawaiE>>i purchase orders governed by the attached UH
General Terms and Conditions.
If the bid amount is $2,500 or more, vendor must furnish proof of compliance with the
requirements of 103D-310(c), HRS by presenting a certificate of vendor compliance through
Hawaii Compliance Express at the time of award.
Vendors are advised that any of the following may be grounds for disqualification:
1. Taking exception to any specifications, terms, or conditions
2. Placing conditions on furnishing of solicited goods or services
3. Inclusion or referencing external documents containing additional specifications, terms,
or conditions
4. Failure to follow RFQ instructions
Solicitation Timeline and Deadlines
Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted no later than March 12, 2026 at 4:00
PM HST.
Requests for approval of alternate brands or models must be submitted no later than March
14, 2026 at 4:00 PM HST.
SuperQuote responses must be submitted no later than March 18, 2026 at 4:00 PM HST.
