Project Description: Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and considered by The Borough of Prospect Park online via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com until August 8, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. and will be awarded during the Borough Council Meeting on August 12, 2025 for EXTERIOR PRESERVATION OF THE MORTON HOMESTEAD, 100 Lincoln Avenue, Prospect Park, PA 19076 for repairs to logs, roof, re-pointing stone masonry and log plank joints.
Plans, specifications, information for bidders and forms for proposals are available online via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com at no cost to prospective bidders. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay PennBid Program a fee of 1/3% of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $150.00 and a maximum of $6,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid./
Bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Borough of Prospect Park.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The Bidder’s attention is called to advise that this project is assisted with federal funds, and various federal requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to equal opportunity provisions. Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, and Section 3 Final Rule Threshold Requirements for contracts over $200,000.00 in HUD funds.
Award of Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
