. The City seeks a qualified Contractor to provide a replacement Cummins ISL Long Block Engine, Emission Level CM2150, Engine Serial #46901537, and complete removal and replacement services for a Charlottesville Area Transit bus.
The work includes removal of the existing engine, installation of the replacement engine, transfer of applicable components and accessories, required adjustments and programming, replacement of necessary fluids, and testing to verify proper engine and vehicle operation.
Background
Charlottesville Area Transit requires replacement of the engine in a 2008 Gillig Low Floor 35-foot transit bus. The vehicle is equipped with a Cummins ISL engine with a CM2150 emissions system. The existing engine requires replacement to return the vehicle to reliable operating condition and minimize disruption to transit operations. Vehicle and engine information applicable to this procurement is provided in the Scope of Work/Description of Item.
