ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the SSABS WWTP REHABILITATION - CONTRACT 3 – SLUDGE DRYING BED AND DROP PIPE REPLACEMENT will be received online via the PennBid Program, by the Sanitary Sewer Authority of the Borough of Shickshinny, until 2:00 P.M local time on August 18, 2025 at which time the Bids received will be opened electronically and publicly posted on PennBid’s website, shortly after which a notice will be posted on PennBid containing the bid results.
The Project generally consists of replacing layers of sand, pea gravel, gravel, PVC liner and reeds in three (3) sludge reed drying beds; replacing the wooden access door stop planks to each drying bed; and replacing various components of twenty-two (22) drop pipes, open-bottom coarse bubble diffusers and drop pipe hooks.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a Lump Sum basis as indicated as indicated in the Online Bid Form.

A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The following wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract: PA Prevailing Wages

The Labor Standards and Anti-Kickback regulations (29 CFR, Part 3) issued by the Secretary of Labor are included in the contract documents of this project and govern all work under the contracts.

Attention is called to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, 12 USC 179 LU and the Section 3 clause and regulations set forth in 24 CFR, Part 135.
