Project Description: Rapho Township and West Hempfield Township will receive bids for the South Garfield Road Bridge Demolition Contract. Bids may be submitted and updated online until Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 2:00 pm. At that time bids will be made available online. All documents and solicitation details are available at any time at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
The Contract work will include, but not necessarily be limited to, demolition of the existing bridge, related amenities.
A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10 percent of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The pre-bid conference will be held onsite at the intersection of Garfield and South Garfield Roads, Mount Joy, PA. on Thursday, August 7, at 11:00 AM. All Bidders will be required to attend. Bids received by Bidders who were not documented to have attended the pre-bid conference may be rejected.
Only those questions submitted online via PennBID shall be considered. Questions received after 1:00 PM on August 12, 2025 regarding the project will not be acknowledged.
This contract is subject to the following: the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions; the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; the Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002; the Pennsylvania One Call Act, also known as the Underground Utility Line Protection Law, Act 287 of 1974, as amended; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 Conditions; requirement of non-collusion affidavit; and the non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Regulations Conditions, and the Public Works Employment Verification Act.
Rapho Township and West Hempfield Township reserve the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
