Design Engineering Consultant Services for Wahlstrom/Forbes Pavement & Drainage Reconstruction

Project Description: Chatham County is seeking a qualified consulting firm with proven experience in the design of pavement and drainage improvements to provide professional engineering services for Wahlstrom Road and Forbes Road.
The purpose of this project is to address existing drainage concerns and improve the overall condition of the roadway. The roadway also serves regular passenger vehicles as well as a significant number of heavy trucks. The existing pavement structure should be evaluated, and recommendations provided for resurfacing and any necessary structural improvements to better support current traffic demands and extend the service life of the roadway.
The selected firm shall evaluate the existing conditions and develop recommendations to improve pavement and drainage performance.
