Window and Partial HVAC Replacement at Brooks Administration Building
The Board of Education of Calvert County, Prince Frederick, MD, is soliciting proposals from pre-
qualified Contractors to provide bids for the Window and Partial HVAC Replacement Project at Brooks
Administration Building located at 1305 Dares Beach Road Prince Frederick, Maryland 20678.
Bid Documents will be made available beginning on Friday January 16, 2026. The Invitation for
Bids, including the bid specifications, drawings, and any addenda or clarifications to the bid
documents are posted online at eMaryland Marketplace.
Please note that all bidders must be prequalified. The Contractor’s Qualification Questionnaire can
be found online at www.calvertnet.k12.md.us and following the tabs: "Departments, Planning and
Construction, Planning and Construction Forms”. Completed qualification questionnaires are due no
later than 4:00 pm on February 4th, 2026 and shall be submitted electronically or hardcopy mailed
to Ms. Brittany Gibson, Planning and Construction Specialist, Calvert County Public Schools, 1305
Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, gibsonb@calvertnet.k12.md.us
The ITB package is free, and vendors are encouraged to download the package online from eMaryland
Marketplace. The package can also be provided upon written request via electronic mail to Mr.
Sheldon Taylor at taylors@calvertnet.k12.md.us.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday January 29th, 2026, 10:00 am, at Brooks Administration
Building located at 1305 Dares Beach Road Prince Frederick, Maryland 20678. Questions related to
the Bid Documents will not be answered at the pre-bid meeting.
Any pre-bid or Bid Document questions shall be submitted via electronic mail to
constructionbid@calvertnet.k12.md.us, with the subject line “PSC #04.BOE.26LC (Brooks – Window and
Partial HVAC Replacement). All questions must be submitted no later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday
February 11, 2026.
Certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) are encouraged to respond to this solicitation
notice.
The contractor or supplier who provides materials, supplies, equipment and/or services for this
construction project shall attempt to achieve the specific overall MBE goal of two percent (2%)
established for this project. All prime contractors, including certified MBE firms, when submitting
bids or proposals as general or prime contractors, are required to attempt to achieve this goal
from certified MBE firms.
There are no subgoals established for this project. However, the Contractor is encouraged to use a
diverse group of subcontractors and suppliers from any and all of the various MBE classifications
to meet the overall MBE participation goal.
Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 am on Tuesday February 24, 2026. Immediately following
the submission deadline, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
In the event of inclement weather on the date when bids are scheduled to be opened and the CCPS
administrative offices are closed, bids will be opened on the next business day at the same time as
previously scheduled. Bids will be accepted until the scheduled time of opening on the next
business day. Please note: Often when schools are closed due to inclement weather, administrative
offices remain open. When in doubt, contact Mr. Sheldon Taylor, Supervisor of Finance -
