Questions
Q. What size is the existing well casing? A. It appears that the casing is 8 inches in diameter
Q. Does this work require Washington State Department of Ecology approval/permitting? A. This is unknown, but we are communicating with them for an answer and once that is received, we will update this question.
Q. Can the existing vault be utilized for the meter? A. No, the existing vault will need to be removed and disposed of, a new box will need to be placed for the meter as well as the 2 valves for the distribution legs.
Q. What is the wall thickness of the existing casing? A. Unknown, once cap is removed that can be determined.
Q. Is a well drillers license required? A. You will need to check with the Department of Ecology for their requirements for work of this nature.  DOH did not address that.
Q. W hat is the required flow and head of the 2HP well pump? A. Replaced in kind, 25 gpm pump, 1.25” schedule 120 drop pipe, pump is set at 160 feet.
Q. W hat depth is the pump to be installed at? A. This should be determined when the inspection, video, and well report is completed, we have some information written on the control box inside the vault.
Q. W hat is the available power voltage and phase? A. 240v single phase.
Q. W hat is the distance from the existing power pole to the well? A. 6’-10’
Q. W hat is the required pressure set point of the constant pressure system? A. 50-60psi
