Description


The City of Decatur is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the 2026 City of Decatur S. McDonough Street Infrastructure Improvements Phase II Project. This project includes roadway, safety, and infrastructure improvements along S. McDonough Street, including work between Garland Avenue and Lenore Street and improvements at the S. McDonough Street and E/W Davis Street intersection.

Bids will be received by the City of Decatur Public Works Department until March 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "2026 City of Decatur S. McDonough Street Infrastructure Improvements Phase II Bid" and delivered to:

Bid documents, plans, and specifications are available online at www.decaturga.com/rfps. All work shall be completed in accordance with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Standard Specifications and applicable City of Decatur requirements.

The successful bidder will be required to provide a five percent (5%) bid bond, meet Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goals, and furnish all required insurance and contract documents as specified in the bid package.

The City of Decatur reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities and informalities, and award the contract in the best interest of the City.
