The Marin Housing Authority (MHA) is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals/entities to support the agency’s efforts to project management the capital improvement and renovation activities associated with MHA’s public housing and other owned properties The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified, licensed, and insured proposers to support Marin Housing Authority in facilitating its capital improvement project efforts. The Agency seeks to engage a professional consultant who can effectively manage the capital improvement projects to ensure that these initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
This RFP aims to identify and establish a partnership with a consultant who will bring expertise in overseeing capital improvement projects, soliciting and evaluating bids, and ensuring high-quality project execution in an affordable manner along HUD guidelines and requirements. The consultant will collaborate with the Agency’s property management staff to identify necessary capital improvements that enhance the long-term sustainability and quality of housing services offered to families, seniors, and disabled residents of Marin County.
Through a competitive and transparent selection process, the Agency intends to secure the best available services at reasonable costs, emphasizing quality, efficiency, and reliability in service delivery. The selected consultant will play a crucial role in aiding the Agency to fulfill its mission of providing safe, decent, and sanitary housing by managing the modernization of its existing housing units effectively.
It is the intent of this RFP to establish a term contract or contracts for the scope listed in Section 2. The initial award(s) will be for one (1) year; up to four (4) extension options at one (1) year each may be exercised for a contract or contracts not to exceed a cumulative total length of five (5) years.
MHA is looking for the most responsive and responsible vendor(s) committed to providing the best level of service. Through a competitive qualification and bid-based procurement process, MHA intends to enter into an agreement with a qualified vendor or vendors. All work is to be performed according to industry standards and to the requirements and satisfaction of MHA.
