Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FIRE EQUIPMENT - CUSTOM PUMPER TRUCK TOWN OF GRANITE FALLS CALDWELL COUNTY CDBG-NR GRANT #20-D-4027 Sealed bids for this project, entitled Fire Equipment - Custom Pumper Truck Bid 1, will be received by the Town of Granite Falls until 2 PM Friday, August 28, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The bid opening will be conducted in the Granite Falls Town Hall at 30 Park Square, Granite Falls, NC 28630. Submissions via fax, telephone, or email in response to this Invitation to Bid will not be accepted. Bids must be submitted using this official form to avoid rejection. Project components include a Sparta/Smeal S-180 Custom Pumper Truck, including graphics and travel expenses for 4 to final inspection. Bid specifications can be found on the Town of Granite Falls' website at "https://granitefallsnc.gov/uploads/dm/11770/Granite_Falls_Bid_1_Pumper_Truck.pdf" or may be inspected directly at the Granite Falls Town Hall. Questions regarding technical equipment specifications should be directed to Chief Brian Bennett at (828) 217-2986. The Town of Granite Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technical informalities, and award the contract in the best interest of Granite Falls. Bids may be held by the Town of Granite Falls for up to sixty (60) days following the bid opening date to allow for proposal review and vendor qualification checks. Bids cannot be withdrawn during this period, except as permitted under NC General Statute Section 143-129.1. SUITABILITY FOR INTENDED USE: Bidders should offer only comparable equipment that delivers equivalent capabilities, features, and functionality as outlined. Granite Falls reserves the right to evaluate all proposals for operational suitability and select the option that best serves the Town's overall interests. INFORMATION AND DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE: Bidders must include comprehensive descriptive literature, general specifications, and any supporting data required for thorough evaluation along with their submission. MAKE AND MODEL: Equivalent makes and models other than the specific unit listed are acceptable; however, the bidder MUST supply documentation verifying full compatibility. DEVIATIONS: Any variations from the listed specifications must be explicitly noted by the bidder. Without explicit notes, the submission will be treated as fully compliant with all stated requirements, and the selected vendor will be held accountable to those standards. All deviations must be detailed directly within the bid or attached as a separate document. The Town makes no guarantee that proposed deviations will be accepted, and bidders are advised that responses on this point do not supersede detailed specification requirements listed elsewhere. BID DISQUALIFICATION: Introducing deviations of any scale risks disqualifying your bid due to strict legal contract compliance standards.
